Terms of Use

Last updated: November 7, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to Memoria: Life & Memories, our iPhone app, and this website. “Memoria,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of Memoria. By using Memoria, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website. You must be legally able to agree to these Terms or use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required.

1. App license and Apple terms

Memoria is licensed, not sold. The app is subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and the applicable App Store usage rules. These Terms describe Memoria’s services and supplement that license; they do not replace Apple’s Standard EULA or reduce any rights you have under mandatory law.

You may use the app on compatible Apple devices you own or control as permitted by Apple’s rules. Restrictions do not prevent uses expressly allowed by law or the licenses of any included open-source components. Apple is not responsible for providing Memoria’s support; contact us at support@getmemoria.cc.

2. What Memoria provides

Memoria helps you revisit photographs, create personal memory cards, and visualize time through a life calendar. Features may include text, dates, places, templates, stickers, image export, widgets, reminders, and optional synchronization. Availability depends on your device, operating system, permissions, region, and any applicable purchase.

The life calendar is a reflection and visualization tool. Its remaining-time figures are based on dates and the lifespan reference you choose. They are not a prediction, medical assessment, health recommendation, or guarantee of longevity.

3. Your photos and memories

You retain ownership of the photos, text, and other content you bring to Memoria. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use or share that content, including respecting other people’s privacy and intellectual property.

You allow the processing necessary to provide the features you use, such as displaying, formatting, caching, exporting, and, when you enable it, synchronizing your content. This does not grant us permission to publish your private memories, use them in advertising, or train our own AI models on them.

Review a card before sharing it. The recipient or external application receives whatever the export contains. Their retention, publication, and onward sharing are governed by their own practices.

4. Acceptable use

Use Memoria lawfully. Do not use it to infringe rights, distribute unlawful content, bypass purchase restrictions, interfere with the app or its services, access systems without authorization, or introduce malicious software. Do not copy, resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app except where applicable law or a relevant license permits it.

5. Free access and Memoria Plus

Memoria includes free functionality and optional paid features through Memoria Plus. Available offers may include monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. The current features, price, currency, billing period, and any introductory offer are shown in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation before you commit.

The website’s invitation to try Memoria for free refers to its free access. It does not promise that all features are free or that every user qualifies for a subscription trial. Apple determines eligibility for any introductory offer shown to your account.

6. Billing, renewals, and trials

Apple handles payment through your Apple Account. An auto-renewable subscription renews under the terms displayed at checkout unless canceled in time. To avoid the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends, unless Apple’s applicable terms specify otherwise. A trial, when offered, converts to a paid subscription at the disclosed price unless canceled.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues until the end of the paid period, subject to Apple’s handling of trials, refunds, and revoked transactions. Deleting Memoria, disabling iCloud, or not using the app does not cancel a subscription.

Prices can vary by country and change for future purchases or renewals. Any required notice or consent for a subscription price change is handled under Apple’s procedures and applicable law. See Apple’s subscription-management guidance.

7. Lifetime purchases, restoration, and refunds

A Lifetime offer is a one-time, non-renewing purchase of the Plus access described at checkout for as long as the corresponding Memoria service remains available. It is not a guarantee that every future separate product or service will be included. This description does not limit any mandatory rights relating to paid digital content or the offer made when you purchased.

Use Restore Purchases to restore eligible access associated with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Restoration depends on valid Apple purchase records and product availability. Refunded or revoked transactions may no longer grant paid access.

Apple processes App Store refund requests. To request a refund, use Apple’s refund service. We cannot directly reverse an App Store charge. Cancellation does not automatically refund a completed billing period, but statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, and consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Storage, photo availability, and iCloud

Memoria stores memories locally by default and refers to original photographs in your Photos library. Removing an original, changing photo permissions, changing Apple Accounts, or losing access to iCloud Photos can make an image unavailable in a saved card. A saved layout or thumbnail is not a backup of the original photograph.

Optional iCloud sync requires a supported Apple Account, available iCloud storage, an internet connection, eligible Plus access, and your opt-in. It synchronizes supported compositions and templates; original photographs are handled separately by your Photos library. Sync may be delayed or unavailable because of network conditions or Apple’s services.

Turning off sync or losing Plus access stops synchronization without automatically deleting existing local or cloud memories. Deletions can propagate while sync is active. Keep copies of important original photos and exported memories, and manage backups appropriate to your needs. This does not exclude our responsibility where applicable law requires it.

9. Third-party services

Memoria relies on Apple services for app distribution, purchases, Photos, iCloud, maps, notifications, and other platform features. RevenueCat receives purchase and limited activity information for purchase reporting and analytics; StoreKit determines paid access in the current App Store implementation. External sharing and maps destinations are selected by you.

These services are subject to their own terms and availability. You are responsible for complying with applicable third-party terms when using them. Their involvement does not remove obligations we owe you under applicable law.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains local data, photo access, optional iCloud sync, maps, widgets, reminders, purchases, RevenueCat, support, and the website. It also explains your settings and privacy rights. Agreement to these Terms is not consent to optional data processing that legally requires separate consent.

11. Memoria’s intellectual property

The Memoria name, branding, software, interface, and supplied design assets belong to their respective owners and licensors. You may use included templates, fonts, and stickers within the app to create and share your memory cards as intended. You may not extract and resell the app’s asset libraries or represent Memoria branding as your own. Third-party and open-source license terms continue to apply.

12. Updates and availability

We may release updates, correct errors, and change features as the app develops. Some updates may require a newer compatible operating system. We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise that the app or every third-party feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

If a material change affects paid services, we will provide any notice, cancellation option, remedy, or other protection required by applicable law. These Terms do not give us a right to remove paid benefits contrary to your purchase terms or mandatory consumer protections.

13. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Memoria is provided on an “as available” basis, without additional promises beyond those stated in your purchase terms, Apple’s applicable license, or mandatory law. We do not guarantee that the app will satisfy every individual purpose or that third-party systems will remain available.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory warranties, remedies for defective digital content, and consumer rights remain in force.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, those protections apply regardless of any statement here. These Terms do not require you to waive access to a competent court or regulator.

14. Ending use

You can stop using Memoria at any time. Manage subscriptions separately through Apple and manage local data, iCloud data, and exported images separately as described in our Privacy Policy. Where necessary to address serious misuse, we may restrict services we control, subject to applicable law and any required notice or remedy. Apple’s Standard EULA governs termination of the app license.

15. Changes to these Terms and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app, our services, or legal requirements. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. Changes will not retroactively remove rights arising from completed purchases. If a change requires your agreement, we will obtain it as required by law.

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
